ASCD Joins Instagram as @OfficialASCD
Alexandria, VA – (01/06/2014) – ASCD, a global community dedicated to excellence in learning, teaching, and leading, has joined the social network Instagram under the username @officialascd. ASCD’s Instagram profile will show educators worldwide a behind-the-scenes look at ASCD, while providing free motivation and professional development through pictures and videos.
“We’re constantly looking to expand our social media reach in order to connect with educators where they are each day,” said ASCD Executive Director and CEO Gene R. Carter. “Instagram enables us to share images and videos with our members that they won’t see anywhere else, and we are looking forward to interacting with our community through the inspiring pictures and videos they post to Instagram.”
Instagram users can expect sneak peeks of ASCD events, motivational quotes from ASCD experts, a look inside ASCD’s headquarters, and even #throwbackthursday photos of past ASCD conference memorabilia and our archive of professional development materials and out-of-print publications. The Instagram account will provide a glimpse into ASCD that has yet to be tapped.

Rahman holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Oakland University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University. He has extensive leadership training and holds certifications from several sales and leadership programs.
